DEC has designed shallow foundations and deep foundations for new structures, and we have designed earth retaining structures in these sectors. Many of our project in these sectors are for remediation of distressed structures or stabilization of structures. Many times, we design the underpinning for owners wishing to increase the capacity of their structure by either increasing the height of the structure or by adding a basement. We have designed the underpinning for the Honda of America plant, multiple commercial buildings, multiple churches, various university structures and various military structures, among others.
